Fishing History: I started fishing when I was about five and loved getting out whenever I could as a youngster. I bought my first boat for $200 right after I got married in 1988. Started fishing seriously in weekly tournaments in 1996. 

Favorite Techniques: I love fishing shallow water: pads, weeds, grass, trees. I throw lots of frogs, big worms, and creature baits.

Favorite Fishing Destination: Lake St. Clair is easily my favorite place to fish, and a goldmine. No matter what time of the year you go, you have a chance to catch a seven pound smallie.

Watercraft: 2004 Nitro NX 882 with a Mercury 150 XR6. It’s yellow and red, we call it "Hulk," as in Hogan. I can never hide on the lake.

Tournaments: I currently fish tournaments twice a week in Southwest Michigan with the Double L Bait and Marine Tournament Trail, and with the Kal Valley Bass Club. I have hosted a charity Bass Tournament in Kalamazoo for the past 15 years.
